With all the advice being offered, it is understandable that it may be quite bewildering. I know, all of us were in your position many years ago.
At that time, it was common place to pay out nearly £3000 in a lump sum.
That is something you just don't have to do now days!

Part 1 Theory Test
You will have access to all of my Part 1 Theory Test course notes absolutely FREE!
You book and pay for your exam.
Working at home, and using all the materials supplied by Go Green Driving School, you work through the course and arrange the Test when you are ready or with the advice of myself, your Go Green Driving School Trainer. The Theory Test comprises of 100 multiple choice questions of which you need to get at least 85 correct. You will need to achieve a minimum mark of 80% in each of the four areas:-
1. Road Procedure
2. Traffic signs and signals, Car control, Pedestrians, Mechanical knowledge
3. Driving Test, Disabilities, Law
4. Publications, Instructional Techniques
There is also a Hazard Perception Test. You will be shown 14 video clips, each containing at least one developing hazard. One of the clips will have two hazards to identify.
You need to get 57 out of a maximum of 75 marks to pass.
Although you are working alone at home, remember you are not alone.
With 24/7 support, there is advice and help on hand whenever you need it.
Part 2 Test of Driving Ability
Training is done in the vehicle supplied, and is designed to bring your personal standard of driving up to the high level required by the DSA. You will train with myself, a Qualified Driver Instructor Trainer on a one to one basis. You should then practice as much as possible in-between lessons in your own vehicle.
One-2-one in car training, none of this sitting in the classroom talking about driving, the best way to learn a practical skill is in the car, on the road, one-2-one.
You learn at your own pace, pay as you go and stop when you want.
It is best to practice in stages, three hours training, and then in-between lessons practice on your own.
I will prepare you for a one hour practical test of your driving ability. This is an advanced driving test and a very high standard of competence is required. Firstly, you will be asked to complete an eyesight test and perform a check on the condition and safety of five components of the vehicle. You must be able to demonstrate a high level of driving technique, anticipation, and consideration of other road users. You will also need to undertake a number of manoeuvres.
When you are practicing on your own, it saves you time & money.
You book and pay for your exam.
I will meet you for an initial assessment of your existing driving skills. At this meeting, you will have the chance of a face to face question and answer session, understand the course structure, become familiar with the vehicle, and obtain a valuation report of your driving, which you can then carry forward to your next training session.
The meeting and initial assessment is for a duration of 2 hrs and is FREE. You will also receive at no cost to yourself a cup of tea with cake AND a FREE Theory Test / Hazard Perception CD-ROM.
Part 3 Test of Instructional Ability
So far you will have shown you are a very good driver.
Now you will need to show that you teach others. This final part consists of two half hour driving lessons where the examiner acts as a pupil in a role play situation.
No classroom training.
Training is conducted in 4 hour sessions.
You book and pay for your exam.
I will meet you for an initial assessment of your existing tuition skills.
At this meeting, you will understand the structure and requirements of the Part 3 Test, receive homework to complete, and begin your training with Phase 1 of PST's 1 & 2.
